ABOUT US
Little Nestlings is a private, family run nursery provision, with an established staff team committed to the strengths of working together for children's well-being, and quality of education.
We run out of two seperate buildings, one on Broad Street, and one of West Street - both in the heart of Hereford town centre, allowing us to give children the best of both worlds - from beautiful green spaces and the opportunity to explore the great outdoors, to also being able to offer the experience of small city life, exploring everywhere from the library to the museums, the market, the cathedral, the fire station, the dentist, the pet shop, and anywhere else we can think of or takes our fancy!
Our two buildings are less than a minutes walk apart and are split into two age groups:
'The Nest', located at 50 Broad Street, houses our Explorer (2 Years+) and Investigator (Preschool) groups, and 'The Nook', located at 15 West Street, houses our Tiddlers and Toddlers (Under 2 Years).
In both buildings we prioritise a calm, home from home atmosphere, with lots of interesting resources to explore, and lots of areas curated to encourage physical development and growth.
Each child has a carefully allocated key team of two staff members, who strive to develop a strong and lasting relationship with each child and their families, ensuring that both are safe in the knowledge that the children's happiness and development is prioritised, encouraged, and aided in any and all ways possible.
In the Nook we focus on the foundation blocks of development, supporting communication and language, building on physical development, and nurturing those all important social skills.
Transitions are simple, and popping to the Nest to join the older children when the time comes gives no need for distress or confusion - our main building offers a carefully designed layout encompassing all the areas of learning, to offer the freedom to explore and engage with learning independently.
Our focus is on giving each child a secure and enriching environment to play and be stimulated in, while feeling happy and cared for as their unique needs are met.
We follow our own curriculum, fed heavily by the EYFS, with Kindness, Communication, and Independence being our three learning pillars. We introduce and explore a huge variety of topics through each childs time with us, pulling on their interests and developmental needs, as well as current events and the changing world around us, in order to give our children a wide and well rounded introduction to the world they live in.
We gently monitor each child's development, ensuring every one receives all the necessary support and intervention needed for them to grown and develop to the best of their abilities. We work with families to access all funding available to them, and support interactions with Health Visitors, Speech Therapists, Social support, and any other professionals involved with the family. Together we aim to help each child to create positive memories, have new experiences, capture and celebrate their achievements with you, and work towards helping each child to become a strong, independent, kind, well rounded individual, ready and supported right through to their first day at school.
